Well it's great to back to civilization and being back at home. There will be lots to comment on over the weeks to come on the events of the last seven days, but for now, I am lighter by exactly one, acoustic schwannoma, removed skillfully and thoroughly by what I consider to be the most amazing staff of surgeons, physicians assistants, fellows, residents, registered nurses, patient care technicians and any other medical professional one could shake a stick at.
Just briefly - thanks to all you out there who have reached out and been so keenly aware of the importance of having been so supportive and concerned to Eileen and our kids - especially during the past week.
I'll be back to you as my energy and strength return. Lots of stuff we need to catch up on.
Oh - and especially to my fellow Mount Snow Ambassadors - you folks are indeed an amazing family of which I feel very privileged to be a part. Your notes and offfers of prayer and support to Eileen and me have been nothing short of amazing. And no, I understand from the judging committee that my 'Bill Anderson Communication Award' will not be withdrawn due to medical issues.
Hi Ronnie,
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to get a new blog entry after the surgery!!! Much more uplifting than worrying about you before the surgery. Also the really good news is that your writing remains witty and full of bad jokes and looks just like it was before the surgery. Sherry and I wish you the fastest recovery possible!
We were so happy to hear from you again, and relieved to see that your latest communication contained no dangling participles. Love you both, Gin :)
